When Is The Best Time To Exercise?

According to a recent US study published in the journal Frontiers In Psychology, this may depend on your gender. It has only been in recent times that studies involving both male and female subjects have highlighted how exercise can affect both genders very differently. Most exercise studies, especially before the turn of the 21st century, were conducted using male test subjects. In the first trial of its type, however, the US study involved 30 women and 26 men taking part in a 12-week programme. Aged between 25 and 55 and of normal weight, the study participants were divided into two separate groups. The first group performed a one-hour workout before 8.30am, with the exercises including stretching, sprinting and resistance training. The second group performed the same exercise routine between 6pm and 8pm. Both groups followed the same specific meal plan, which involved eating every four hours. The results obtained by the team of researchers at Skidmore College in New York State suggested exercising early in the morning is the best time for women wanting to reduce belly fat or blood pressure. If their aim is to increase muscle strength or endurance, however, the optimal time to exercise would be in the evening, after work. Interestingly, the researchers concluded that the optimal time for men to exercise, regardless of their goals, is in the evening.#wellness #strength #yoga #fitnessaddict #fitnessjourney #getfit #weightlossjourney #goals #workoutmotivation #running #healthyliving #abs #healthyfood #life #exercisemotivation #homeworkout #bhfyp #fitlife #instagram #inspiration #active #selfcare #gains #follow #transformation #determination #photooftheday #personaltraining #train #hormonerebalance
